Where
there is will, there is a way
Parul was a school girl whose parents
were landless. They were unable to bear her educational expenses. But Parul was
determined to complete her studies. In her class, she was the best student. Her
teachers always encouraged her to do better in school. However, she could not
afford to attend classes regularly as she had to help her parents in their
daily chores. Moreover, she tutored a few students in the evening in order to
bear a minimum academic expenses. One day, one of her teachers found her
sobbing at the corner of her classroom. He gently asked her, “What’s wrong,
Parul?” Hearing his voice, Parul was a bit startled and answered, “Nothing Sir,
I am fine.” The teacher, however, insisted to know if he could help her in any
way. Parul then told him that she was not able to pay for the SSC exam
registration. The teacher knew how hardworking and diligent Parul was! He
promptly spoke to the Headmaster concerning her situation and managed to offer
her a waiver for the registration fee. Six months later when she had already
appeared on the Board Exam and her result had also been published, she was
weeping again. This time, it was for her brilliant result. She had achieved a
GPA 5.0! Moral of the story: “Strong
determination can bring any success.”
