Sense
of responsibility of a little boy
One day a boy of class five was going to
school. Suddenly, he saw a money bag on the road. He was at a loss. He said to
himself, “What shall I do? If I pick it up, people may think that I am a
thief.” But he was a very responsible boy and wasn’t afraid. “If I leave the
bag here, someone else may take it,” he thought. So, he picked up the bag and
took it with him. After finishing school that day, he rushed home without
wasting a second. When he reached home, he showed the bag to his elder sister.
She suggested him to open the bag. When they looked inside it, they found a
passport, some money and many other things. They also found an address card in
which a phone number was written. They phoned on that number and found that the
bag belonged to someone named Mrs. Shahana Begum. They gave her their address
so that she could come and collect her bag. Mrs. Shahana came to their home the
next day and received her bag. She expressed her gratefulness to the young boy
and his sister and also praised them for their honesty and responsibility. Moral
of the story: “Honesty is the best
policy.”
