Helping Someone in need
When I was going to college to take my final exam at 10 am. At 9, when I
was 20 minutes away from my college, suddenly a sick old man fell down. People
ran to him. I saw him lying on the road. He was still breathing but was not
responding. I was at loss of what to do. Then someone there said that we should
call an ambulance. I immediately called the national emergency service 999 to
send for an ambulance. They instruct me to start doing CPR before the ambulance
arrived. By this time, he was hardly breathing and only Allah knows when the
ambulance would arrive. I had never done CPR in my life before, only watched
people do it in the movies. I tried to do CPR on the man but it was harder than
I imagined. You have to press with a great force and it was so scary to do.
After about ten minutes, the ambulance arrived. They rushed the man in. When
the ambulance left, it was 9:50 am. already. I, then called the nearby rickshaw
and hopped onto it. I reached the college at 10:15. The teachers did not want
to listen to my story. I was breathless when I started my exam. Then I drank
some water and started to write. Moral of the story: “Humanity is more than anything else.”
